Ingredients list for Shahi Paneer :
- Paneer :250gm
- Cream :150ml
- Onion : 1large(sliced)
- Garlic : 5cloves(sliced)
- Ginger : 1inch(sliced)
- Tomato : 2(sliced)
- Oil : 1&half tbsp
- Butter :2tbsp
- Sugar : 1tbsp
Other Ingredients :
- Turmeric powder :1tsp
- Coriander powder :1tsp
- Chilli powder :1tsp
- Shahi paneer masala :1tsp
- Curry powder :1tsp
Whole spices :
- Cumin seeds : 1tsp
- Large cardamom : 2
- Bay leaf : 2pieces
- Cinnamon stick : 1inch
Cooking Instructions :
- Heat 1tbsp oil in pan.
- Add onion and saute for 4-5 minutes.
- Add ginger, garlic & chilli in pan.
- Add 1 tsp cumin seeds.
- Add sliced tomato and saute.
- After-that add cashew and cook all ingredients 2-3 minutes.
- Add 1 cup water & salt then mix properly.
- Cook for 10 minutes and let it cool down.
- Then make fine and sooth paste.
- Heat oil in pan/kadai then add large cardamom & bay leaf.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder & shahi paneer masala one by one.
- Saute spices for 1minutes.
- Add tomato, onion puree & salt in pan.
- Cook for 5-6 minutes on medium heat.
- Add butter 2 tbsp. in gravy. Mix well.
- Add paneer cubes in gravy, mix properly.
- Add fresh cream in gravy. Cook 5-6 minutes in low heat.
- Add 1tsp kasuri methi in Shahi Paneer pinch of garam masala(optional).
- Garnish with cream and serve Shahi paneer with roti & rice.
Important info :
- For vegan option you can use tofu instead of paneer.
- Use coconut cream instead of normal cream.
- If you like sweetness in gravy, you can add 1tbsp sugar/honey in gravy.
