Gajar Ka Halwa Vegan

Sweets are very Famous in all over India. After finishing meal we prefer to eat something sweet. There are many different variety of foods and sweet dishes, when you are travelling from one part to another part of India. In north  India there are many sweet dishes like Gajar ka halwa (Carrot pudding),Kheer, Gulab Jamun , Amiriti, Jalebi and Kaju Katli  are very famous among people. They prefer to eat  these dishes instead of chocolate. Among these sweet dishes i like the most Gajar ka Halwa (Carrot Pudding), Kheer( made from rice or vermicelli). These dishes are really mouth watering and very very tasty. It's really very hard to control yourself , when you are cooking these delicious dishes at home.

Gajar Ka Halwa (Carrot pudding)

Ingredients for gajar ka halwa easy recipe

  • Carrot : 7-8 or 600 gm(grated)
  • Sugar : 1/2 cup
  • Milk : 2 cups
  • Olive oil/Deshi ghee : 2 tablespoon
  • Saffron strands : 5-6 
  • Mixed dry fruits : 2 tablespoon
  • Cardamom powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Preparation Method for gajar ka halwa recipe
  • Heat a pan add oil/deshi ghee,add grated carrot stir it for 5-6 minutes on medium heat.
  • Add milk and saffron strands in mixture,let it cook for 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
  • Add sugar,cardamom powder and dry fruits and mix it properly, let it cook for 10 minutes on high heat.
  • Your Gajar ka halwa(carrot pudding) is ready to serve. Enjoy it.

Vermicelli Kheer (savai kheer) : 

Ingredients for sevai kheer recipe :
  • Vermicelli : 50 gm
  • Sugar : 1/2 cup
  • Milk : 2 & half cup
  • water : 1/3 cup
  • Saffron strands : 5-6 
  • Cardamom powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mixed dry fruits : 2 tablespoon
  • oil : 1 teaspoon/deshi ghee
Preparation Method for  sevai kheer recipe :
  • Heat a pan add oil/deshi ghee, add vermicelli stir it for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add water, let it cook for 5 minutes then add milk and saffron. Let it cook for 10- 15 minutes.
  • Add sugar,cardamom powder and dry fruits mix properly,let it cook for 5-7 minutes on high heat.
  • Serve in a bowl or plate . You can garnish with dry fruits.
