Aloo Paratha is a very popular stuffed flat bread in North India,specially Punjab and U.P. People love to eat this bread with yogurt and green coriander chutney. Basically it is a breakfast recipe but you can serve this in lunch and dinner as well. Aalo paratha recipe is known as whole meal recipe,It does not needed any side dish. You can serve this dish with chutney,yogurt,pickle and with tea. The main ingredient of this recipe is wheat flour and potato. You can use boiled potato or fried peas pototo for filling. Ingredient list for recipes :

For Stuffing 
  • Boiled potato : 4
  • Salt : 1 teaspoon(as per taste)
  • Coriander leaves : 4-5 Branches(Chopped)
  • Turmeric :1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • Amchoor powder/Dry mango powder :1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds : 1/4 teaspoon
For Dough
  • Wheat flour : 2&half cup
  • Salt : half of 1/4 teaspoon
  • Carom seeds : 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil : 1/2 cup( for baking)
  • Water : 1 cup(For making soft dough)
Cooking Method : 
  • Sieve wheat flour in a bowl.
  •  Then mix 1 teaspoon oil,carom seeds,salt and water. Make a smooth dough and keep it aside.
  • Take boiled potato in a bowl,mix all above spices with salt.

  • Mix all spices with potato then mash it. Your stuffing is ready, keep aside in a bowl.
  • Take the dough, Make small bolls then stretch it in size of your palm then fill stuffing. Seal the edges and make a nice smooth boll. After that dust the boll with wheat flour then roll it till 4.5 to 5 inches.
  • Place  Aloo paratha  on preheated tava/pan and cook it both side with butter/Ghee/oil. Cook until it has brown spot on both side.
  • Aaloo paratha is ready to serve with your favorite chutney,yogurt,sauce or pickle.
Green Chutney recipe:

Ingredients: 
  • Coriander leaves : 6-8 branches
  • Tomato : 1(sliced)
  • Garlic : 2-3(cloves)
  • Green chilli : 1(as per taste)
  • Salt :1 teaspoon
  • Water :4-5 tablespoon
  • Mint leaves(fresh/dried) :3-4 leaves/half teaspoon dried
Method :
                Take a mixer grinder,put all thing together. After that give your mixture 3-4 rotation until it become smooth texture. Pour in a bowl and serve with Aaloo paratha recipe.
