Rice Pudding Recipe
Rice kheer recipe is very popular North Indian sweet recipe. This recipe is most common Indian sweet dish which cooked in Indian kitchen very often. We made this recipe as a God's prasadam in pooja. We cook this recipe in festival season and wedding. Rice kheer recipe, basic ingredients are rice, milk and jaggery/gur. I love rice kheer recipe since my childhood days, my mum used to cook this recipe for me and family. You can serve this recipe with any main course dish or meal. Ingredients list :
- Rice : 1&half cup(cooked)
- Milk : 6 cups
- Jaggery/gur : 70-80gm
- Cardamom : 4-5 pieces
- Kesar/saffron : 6-7 strands
- Cashew : 5-6 pieces(sliced)
- Almond : 4-5(sliced)
- Raisins/kishmish : 3-4 tablespoon
- Desiccated coconut : 2 tablespoon
Cooking Method :
- Heat milk in pan, Then add cooked rice and cook for 6-7 minutes in medium heat.
- After-that add all nuts,raisins,coconut and kesar/saffron. Cook for 8-9 minutes on low heat. Keep stirring.
- Wait For 10 -15 minutes. Let it cold then add jaggery/gur pieces in Rice Kheer and cook it on low heat for 4-5 minutes. Your Kesar Kheer/Indian rice pudding is ready to serve.
- Serve Hot/Cold with any main course dish.
